The iconic May Restaurant & Lounge (1612 N 45th) abruptly closed its doors and spent last weekend taking down signage, removing decorations, and cleaning out the interior. The morning crime beat saw some action this morning.  Most of the street facing windows at Slave to the Needle (403 45th St) were smashed sometime over night.  The broken windows were smashed out of the panes with more damage than just a stray rock tossed through a window.
