Family Fun at Wallingford Library

Heather McNamee, Supervising Librarian at the Wallingford Branch of the Seattle Public Library (SPL), wrote to tell us about some new, free, family-oriented programs at the library. This Sunday (July 21), from 2-3:00pm, the Wallingford branch (1501 N. 45th St.) will host "Ponto el Ritmo" ("Put Your Rhythm On!"), which, Heather tells us, is "a fun, interactive, music workshop for the whole family where we will learn about Brazilian and Cuban music and instruments, and dance dance dance!"  More from the SPL…

Tully’s / Moon Temple to Be Demolished?

On July 15th, The Seattle Department of Planning and Development will be holding a design review meeting to consider a permit application to demolish the building at 2100 N. 45th St, presently housing a shuttered Tully's, Radiant Medspa and the Chinese restaurant / dive bar Moon Temple. Wallingford Family Parade & Festival

Make way for the Kiddie--ahem, excuse me--the Wallingford Family Parade and Festival, which kicks-off at 11:00am on Saturday, July 6. Now in it's 64th year, the parade is one of the longest running Seafair sanctioned community events.
