This is just a reminder that the Seattle Rock 'n' Roll Marathon takes place tomorrow morning at 7am.  It starts in Tukwila, (which means I-5 southbound will be a mess), and ends at Qwest CenturyLink Field. Runners will have fine views along Lake Washington, and then they'll choke up the I-90 Express Lanes leading downtown. Lowell Elementary eyes Lincoln for 4th/5th grade APP

The Stranger reported today that Lowell Elementary is contemplating moving its 4th and 5th grade APP students to the Lincoln High School site here in Wallingford for the 2011-12 school year. The Capitol Hill-based school is home to three specialized programs within the district: Accelerated Progress Program (APP), General Education/Advanced Learning Opportunity (ALO) and Specialized Education, and as such, its projected enrollment numbers for this fall could be close to 700, according to the Stranger's article. Ladybug gets a touch up this weekend

Folks who live around Burke Avenue North and N. 49th Street are holding their annual painting party this Sunday to freshen up their beloved ladybug mural, and everyone is welcome to come. If you're interested in joining in the fun, bring a dish or snack to share. The painting party is from 2-5 pm followed by a potluck. The ladybug was created seven years ago under the helm of Eric Higbee and funded by the Seattle Neighborhood Matching Fund.
