Mighty (Food Network) – O!

Gourmet . . . donuts?  You better believe it! The Food Network Challenge has selected another neighborhood eatery for its show, Tangletown's Mighty-O Donuts.  The episode airs Sunday, April 10th at 8 PM. An enthusiastic donut-eater myself, I caught up with Mighty-O's competitor, "donut creator extraordinaire" Sara Beth Russert. I know you aren't supposed to give away the ending, but what was the challenge? We had to make several different kinds of donuts and create a showpiece, a giant donut sculpture. …

We Ate The Books

The Sixth Annual Edible Book Festival has concluded.  And I'm going to tell you all about it because it was super fun. It's a…

Wallingford Weekend

April is here! (O.k., officially, it'll be here tomorrow).  Time to break out that spring jacket (the one with the hood and zip-in liner in case the temps dip ) and get outside to enjoy all the lovely colors of spring (set against the dull gray backdrop).  I'm not a big fan of spring, can you tell?  Used to be a big fan.  BIG FAN.  Can't stand it now, because it's when I suffer the most from allergies and I'm forced…
