Poets Among Us

"There is a word for this but I can't remember it, a word for the sky in balance . . ." "As Light As Dark", Megan Snyder-Camp Did you realize there is a secret conclave of poets in Wallingford?  The fact that we have one of only two all-poetry bookstores in the nation ought to clue you in, but I actually met one the other night in the Tangletown Pub who revealed they meet there occasionally to talk about their work…

A public auction of the store's fixtures and equipment will be held at the space (2201 N 56th St.) tomorrow…

Helpin’ with the Hoopla

This is Juan -- a 17 year-old staff member at the Wallingford Boys and Girls Club -- covered in Cool Whip.  Juan has been a Boys and Girls Club member since he was 10 and last year, he became the youngest and newest counselor. You can see what sort of initiation the newly minted counselors endure. Creaming the counselor is only one of the many fun activities offered at the Halloween Hoopla, and this year the Wallingford Boys and Girls Club…
