Best patio in Seattle has a new contender — and it’s right here in Wallingford. Some months ago, I noticed Bowriders Grill pop up on Google maps right on the water, directly next to Westward. Creative Mending starting June 27th from 1-3pm

Wallingford Community Senior Center, located in the Good Shepherd Center, is starting a new program, open to the greater community. Mending is one way to slow down the fashion cycle, lessen landfill overflow and enhance garments and textiles. Creative menders around the world are taking on this challenge in appreciation of resources and sewists.
