Tonight: Trivia Night at the Iron Bull

Wallyreader CindyY gave us a hearty chuckle when she posted about trivia night at the Iron Bull in the Forums: Hi folks, I'm trying to rustle up support for The Iron Bull's new Wednesday night trivia. Some friends and I went to the inaugural event two weeks ago, and it was great fun. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it last week due to work conflicts, and was sad to hear the turnout could've been better. So here I am, urging you to…

Celebrate the Harvest with Tilth

"whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" (Galatians 6:7) And if he soweth green beans, cherry tomatoes and zucchini in Seattle, then it's time to reap and celebrate! Seattle Tilth's annual Harvest Fair will be Saturday, September 11th from 10 AM to 5 PM in the picnic shelter and lawns behind the Good Shepherd Center.  (That's right, on 9/11.  Let's try to affirm life and counterbalance the sadness of the anniversary). That's right, we hold in our hot and sweaty little hands a pair of Dave Matthews Band general admission tickets at the Gorge Amphitheatre this Sunday, September 5, at 6 p.m. If you're interested in going, all ya gotta do is tell us what Dave Matthews Band song or lyric best represents Wallingford and why. LoveFest! – Bandolero! – Boom! – Shop!

There's love in the air in Fremont, tequila and Mexican fare in Tangletown, Japanese sweet crepes in Capitol Hill, and fun new shops in Phinney Ridge.  Sounds like a good time to visit the neighbors! If you have time before or after our own Tilth Harvest Fair, you can cap it off with the Fremont LoveFest on the same day, Saturday, Sept. 11th.  According to Fremont Universe, this is a "music festival that also promotes a message of unity and environmentalism". …
