Jazz at Murphy’s

Lynn Post Lynn Post August 23, 2017 4 Comments

Wait a minute—jazz at Murphy’s?  That’s right, each fourth Wednesday night Phil Sparks and Leif Totusek play straight ahead jazz. Both Phil and Leif are elders in the jazz scene.

Phil’s bass can strike awe into any jazz lover’s heart. Leif’s ancient Stratocaster sings, dances through Phil’s awesome bass.

Come out to Murphy’s 9:00 to ’round midnight each 4th Wednesday. Enjoy the food that you love to feel guilty about. Hear and toast these two wonderful musicians as they create ingenious food for the soul.

Thank you to Wallyhood reader and jazz fan Rory for writing up this review of the free jazz show happening tonight at Murphy’s Pub (1928 N 45th Street).

You or Murphy’s should add this event to the Earshot and KNKX calendars – both are free and seen by many.

There is a new business in the old Zaw’s. There is construction and supplies in the ground floor of the store front under the Stone Way N & 44th apts. Maybe some one has tiem to check them out. Marie/Maria from where ever it is might?
