Sea Turtle, in Progress

We reported on Friday that neighborhood was about to adopt a colorful turtle on an intersection close to Hamilton.  Well, here's an update, along with some photos of the nearly completed project: When I left my house at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, I passed a small group of neighbors armed with brooms to prep the intersection of 41st and Interlake for its transformation. Hamilton Middle School Grand Opening

Things have become much quieter over at Hamilton--signaling that, with exception of a few finishing touches, the school is ready for the big move.  According to a letter they delivered to homes in the immediate area, we’ll be seeing moving trucks shuttle furniture, equipment and books between Lincoln and the 41st and Densmore side of Hamilton this month and next, as crews prepare for the first day of school on Wednesday, September 8. A Friend-ly Reminder from Friends of McDonald School

Just a reminder to those participating in the Friends of McDonald playground structure project: another meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 27, to make the final selection for playground equipment.  The meeting is free and all are welcome to take part in the decision-making process.  The meeting will take place at Green Lake Elementary, from 7-9 p.m. and refreshments will be served.
