POSTPONED: Hot Lunch Hot Dogs

We published a story earlier in the week about a hot dog lunch benefiting the Wallingford Senior Center. I am sad to report this is another gathering postponed due to the recent surge in COVID cases brought on by the Delta variant. When folks are ready to get back out there and eat a hot dog in support of the Senior Center, we will be back with an update! The Center remains open for other activities! Well yes, the Romans called it the 'Dog Days' because the sun rises in the Canis Major (the Big Dog) star constellation in the sky in late August, but for our neighborhood it signals the Great Hot Dog Party at the Wallingford Community Senior Center. Pictured below is also a sticker with the more traditional "Wallingford." All made, of course, by Northwest…

Because of the emergence of the delta variation of the Corona-19 virus, WCSC is requiring everyone who visits the Center to show evidence that they are vaccinated. Face masks are optional, but highly recommended. WCSC is open…
