For the 10th consecutive month the median sale price for single-family homes sold in Northwest Seattle, including Wallingford, met or exceeded the sale price for the same period a year prior.  Much of this trend can be attributed to a 45% decrease in the supply of homes compared to the previous year. The Wallingford Chamber of Commerce invites the community to "Celebrate Wallingford". This is the Chamber's annual holiday dinner and silent auction fundraiser, which takes place on Wednesday night, November 14, from 6:00pm to 8:30pm at Ivar's Salmon House (401 Northeast Northlake Way). Safety Patrols on Aurora begin tomorrow

The Seattle Police Department (SPD) is beefing up its patrols on the Aurora Corridor tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday (November 8 and 9) as a part of the Be Super Safe Seattle effort. The patrols will be at various points between the Battery Street Tunnel up to North 145th Street, and will focus on speeding, impaired driving (DUI), cell phone usage/distraction, and failure to yield.
