Holiday Cheers to Wallingford is Next Week

If you haven't yet bought your tickets to Holiday Cheers to Wallingford, you better hurry because it's happening next week! Yep, the neighborhood holiday party of the year happens on Tuesday, November 15, from 6-9pm at Wine World (400 NE 45th St.) Wallingford businesses will fill the event room, showing off their wares, giving away some goodies and generally having some festive get-to-know-you times. Tickets are $25 per person, and you can register online here.

Garbage Pickup on Normal Schedule Tomorrow

From Seattle Public Utilities: Seattle’s food and yard waste, garbage and recycling collections will be on normal schedule for Veterans Day, Friday, November 11. Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) customers should place their containers out by 7 am to ensure collection. On Veterans Day, the City of Seattle’s North & South Recycling and Disposal Stations will be open during their regular business hours: 8 am to 5:30 pm.

Uptown Espresso honors Veterans by giving back

In honor of Veterans Day tomorrow (Friday, Nov. 11), all of the Uptown Espresso locations, including the Wallingford store (2300 N. 45th St.), will donate 100% of its proceeds to American Lake Veterans Golf Course. Located in Lakewood, the American Lake Veterans Golf Course has been serving the military since it opened in 1955, and since 1995, it's been operated and maintained exclusively by volunteers after the government cut off its funding.
