Now that summer's upon us (in theory, at least) the Wallingford Wee Set can look forward to a little splash time at the Wallingford Wading Pool. Opening day is Wednesday, June 29, and the season runs through Friday, August 19. We recently received a reader tip from our buddy Holly (heh, "buddy Holly") over at Sock Monster.  She's worried about the squirrels on Burke Ave N., between 44th & 45th.  She refers to that block as "squirrel row." From July 21 to August 8, Northwest International Student Exchange (NWISE) is hosting a summer camp in Wallingford for teenage students from Chengdu City, in the Szechuan Provence of China. The visiting students will have a wonderful opportunity to experience American life here in the Pacific Northwest by taking English immersion classes, and participating in cultural activities.
