Yesterday was gorgeous outside, wasn't it? I'd call it perfect paradin' weather. It was an awesome day to hang outside with family, neighbors and friends here in Wallingford, and we hope you enjoyed the day just as much as we did. Here's a slideshow of the 62nd annual Wallingford Kiddie Parade and Street Fair.
Do you have a beard? Can you look up? Then your fifteen minutes of fame are nigh, courtesy of beardsfrombelow.org—a curated photo blog that offers a new perspective on facial hair. Literally. The website is run as a labor of love by Wallingford’s own Jon Baker who, along with the site’s co-founder Robin Lee, began pioneering this new field of pogonology in early 2009. Since then, Jon has seen the underside of almost every style of beard imaginable– from ‘Abe’ to…
Who doesn't love a parade? More importantly, who doesn't love the Wallingford Kiddie Parade? Today's the day! Grab your family, friends, and neighbors and make your way up to N. 45th Street. The parade begins at 11am on 45th at Corliss Avenue, and the Street Fair runs from 10am to 5pm on Wallingford Avenue, between 45th and 43rd. You won't want to miss the fun. Personally, we don't see any reason to venture outside of Wallingford this Saturday (unless, of course, you're on the Urban Farm Tour); but if you feel the need to leave the neighborhood, we won't hold it against you!
