Mel tells us his Toy Fox Terrier, Benny, went missing the night before last, spooked by neighborhood fireworks. If you spot this little guy (who looks a lot like the Durn Good's Stella), please contact Mel at 206-545-4258. Photo by Luna

In case you weren't following the extensive comment stream on the Seal Team 6 Hits Meridian Park story, in which Wallingford artist and metalworker Marc Bissell took it upon himself to 'repair' the sailor sculpture in Meridian Park playground (it had lost its sword arm a few years ago) by welding on a machine gun, the episode is over. Several locals took it up on themselves to 'repair' his 'repair' and hacksawed off the addition. Forrest witnessed the removal and sent…
We did it folks. For the second year in a row, the Family Fourth is powered "by the People, for the People" (as One Reel says). Thanks to tons of local individuals and businesses, the show will go on this year. Here's the day's schedule: Noon-10pm. Free, all-day family-friendly extravaganza at Gas Works Park. So we tried reaching out to Bill the Butcher corporate, and so far, no luck; but last…

If you click on the (.gif) below the picture, you'll be able to see the truck go past the doorway. For those of you reading this in email, you'll have to come to the blog to check it out.
