SDOT is seeking input on citywide road and sidewalk improvement and has developed a short survey, which can be found here. The survey, developed by the Citizens Transportation Advisory Committee III (CTAC III), focuses on questions pertaining to the "Bridging the Gap" levy, which is up for renewal in 2015 and provides funds for things like resurfacing and repairing streets and sidewalks, implementing the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plans, and transit improvements for the 45th St/NW Market corridor. Wallingford’s Annual Meeting

Tomorrow (Thursday, May 26) from 6:30 to 8:30 PM the Wallingford Community Council will be holding our annual meeting in the Good Shepherd Center Chapel. Come at 6:30 to meet with many of our fine local organizations and snack on refreshments. Family 4th at Lake Union set for 2011

One Reel announced this morning that it has secured the remaining $90k needed to produce the 2011 Family 4th at Lake Union. The organization met its fundraising goal of $500,000 with the help of the Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce and a $25,000 donation from Coca-Cola Refreshments - Northwest Region. Assistance League awards summer camp scholarships

Wallingford-based Assistance League of Seattle has awarded seven students from Salmon Bay Middle School summer camp scholarships through its Enrichment Scholarship Program (ESP). According to their announcement: ESP awards scholarships to students in grades 6 through 11 who exhibit a keen interest in a variety of fields such as music, art, science, debate, mathematics, language, drama, technology, leadership and journalism.  This year Assistance League received and funded 70 applications from fourteen middle and high schools in the Seattle School District. We heard today from the My Wallingford blog that Fabric Crush, the fabric store in Wallingford Center will be closing next month. They opened just a year ago, in March of 2010.
