Kindergartner sells art for Japan

Since the earthquake and tsunami in Japan last week, a few Wallingford businesses have come forward to donate a portion of their profits toward relief efforts in Japan. We reported that Issian was contributing a portion of their sales, and tonight, Wine World is holding a sake class, and donating 100% of the entry fees. (sorry, folks, that was on Wednesday night!)  On Friday, Wine World store will also hold its regularly-scheduled tasting, but suggests a $10 donation to help raise…

Wallingford swings!

Next time you're at the Wallingford Playfield or Meridian Park, you'll notice a a bright cheery, yellow addition to the swings.  The Fremont Rotary Club has donated one ADA accessible swing for each park that are designed for kids with special needs.  The donation is part of the Fremont Rotary's "Yellow Swing Campaign" of which a total of four swings were donated to local playgrounds.
