Peace Concert at Gas Works

The 30th Annual (congrats!) Seattle Peace Concerts are in full swing and coming to Gas Works Park this Sunday, 8/15. The concerts have been part of Seattle summers since 1981.  Concert coordinator Don Glenn, known as the "Chief" of the Seattle Peace Concerts,  attributes their continued success to the underlying spiritual nature of the gatherings. We've always been a bit jealous of Portland's awesome bike culture and food cart culture. Street Treats, a mobile dessert truck, will be parked outside of Fuel Coffee on 45th Street tomorrow, Wednesday Augusth 11th from 4 - 7 pm. From the Street Treats web site: Street Treats will offer homemade baked…

If you live near the John Stanford School and happen to see a long-haired black cat with white on his chin and paws, please let me know. Now you know. We've added it to our ever-growing map of outdoor art around the neighborhood. Remember: if we're missing something, tell us! View Wallingford Outdoor Art in a larger map

Kelley spotted this sign in the door of the 7-Eleven at100 NE 50th St: If the glare is too much for you, it says that the Seahawks Seagals will be there this Friday, August 6th from noon until 1 pm, and they'll give out free sandwiches to the first 100 customers. You are instructed not to forget your camera, because you will want to have your picture taken with the aforementioned SeaGals.
