Support Businesses to Support Seniors

It seems odd to me to hear seniors being called a "special interest group".  Because if you think about it, it's only a matter of time until we all become seniors (if we're lucky). Bearing that in mind, the Wallingford Community Senior Center needs your help.  Earlier this year an anonymous donor put up a $25,000 matching grant to help keep the struggling organization going and last I heard they still need $7,000 to get the full amount. No December Dinner Hours at Varsity Inn

I have arrived, Wallingford.  Yes, I am now an official 'local."  I got a phone call today from my favorite waitress, letting Wallyhood know that the Varsity Inn will not be serving Mexican dinners for the month of December. Blush - it's about you.

Wallingford Art Walk – December

This Wednesday will be the last Wallingford Art Walk of the year. With temperatures dropping to the low 40's, it may be tough to get a crowd out, but on the other hand, it's a great opportunity to do some local holiday shopping and Tara Shuttleworth, the new director, has been hard at working wrangling in new businesses, reviving participation from old and keeping the old standbys on-line (including Wallyhood sponsor School of Oom Yung Doe). She writes: Please welcome Fainting…
