Double (and Triple and Quadruple) Vision

On Woodlawn next to the library, a couple with snazzy matching bicycles. Three huge wolf-dogs sprawl on the sidewalk outside the Sock Monster. I bought these two ears of corn at the Farmers Market and was given this 2 dollar bill in change.  This afternoon is becoming uncanny. These adorable twin girls and their proud parents are also at the Farmers Market.  Yes, the babies are identical. Four exuberant belly dancers swirl and pose outside Pharmaca in the northwest corner of…

Now it’s up to you, the public, to decide by casting your votes.  You can vote up to 10 times a day, now through September 10, either online or via text: FT201…

Hamilton’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Hundreds of people--from neighbors, students and faculty, to Seattle Public School Board Members--came out during this gorgeous, cloudless morning for the ribbon cutting ceremony at Hamilton International Middle School.  Members from the Hamilton Marimba Band welcomed guests with a fun and festive piece called “Mardi Gras.” Principal Christopher Carter began the ceremony, thanking everyone involved and said he was thrilled to be leaving their temporary home at Lincoln High School,  “with all due respect,” he added with a wry grin. As…

Do repeat offenders pay more? Are there additional fines for unlicensed pets? So, we looked up the Seattle Municipal Code and here’s the scoop: It is a violation of SMC 18.12.080 to have a dog on an athletic playfield or designated children’s play area on…
