Retriever statue stolen

Arrests on Latona

(Updated: April 13, 1:44 pm removing uncorroborated information There was an arrest last night at 4228 Latona Ave NE. According to Mark Jamieson of the Seattle Police Department: North Precinct officers responded to that location following a 911 call.  The complainant stated that another resident had threatened him.  The victim stated that the suspect was repeatedly banging on his door threatening to harm him.  The victim told officers that he was afraid of the suspect, and another witness in the house…

Another Stolen Package

You may remember our last post on this subject: Package Thefts. Now, Marilyn writes: Amazon shows that I had a book delivered to my porch last Friday night at 6:58. It disappeared sometime during the night. This is the 4th package, all from Amazon, that has gone missing from my porch in 2 months. While not entirely comforting, at the very least, we can rule out the suspect involved in this month's rash of burglaries.

Burglaries in Wallingford

Update: 4:43pm: The P-I reports a third burglary occurred last night, on the 4000 block of Sunnyside Avenue North. According to the P-I, "Police believe the burglar entered through an unlocked front door and stole a purse near there. The theft was not discovered until after 6 a.m. Tuesday morning." King County Metro officer stabbed at 45th/Burke

A King County Metro police officer was stabbed this morning by a person sleeping in the bus shelter on 45th at Burke. The incident happened at approximately 10:45AM this morning. According to Seattle Police, the suspect is in custody and the officer was transported to Harborview Medical Center to treat injuries to his hand and shoulder. Marilyn wrote to tell us that Amazon packages delivered by UPS have been stolen from her porch (around 43rd and Thackeray) twice in the last few weeks. UPS drivers have verified that the packages were delivered to her home ,and she's home at least part of every day and most evenings.
