Update: 4:43pm: The P-I reports a third burglary occurred last night, on the 4000 block of Sunnyside Avenue North. According to the P-I, "Police believe the burglar entered through an unlocked front door and stole a purse near there. The theft was not discovered until after 6 a.m. Tuesday morning." King County Metro officer stabbed at 45th/Burke

A King County Metro police officer was stabbed this morning by a person sleeping in the bus shelter on 45th at Burke. The incident happened at approximately 10:45AM this morning. According to Seattle Police, the suspect is in custody and the officer was transported to Harborview Medical Center to treat injuries to his hand and shoulder. Marilyn wrote to tell us that Amazon packages delivered by UPS have been stolen from her porch (around 43rd and Thackeray) twice in the last few weeks. UPS drivers have verified that the packages were delivered to her home ,and she's home at least part of every day and most evenings. Car stolen in Tangletown last night

A reader tells us that her car had been stolen in front of her house last night on NE 59th St. in Tangletown, between Latona Avenue NE and 5th Avenue NE. The stolen car is a 2003 orange Honda Element with a Kirkland Lacrosse sticker on the lower left corner of rear window. A police report has been filed, but in the off-chance that someone spots the car, please let us know.
