Halloween at Wallingford Center

Bring your little ghosts and goblins (or in my case, Super Mario and Princess Peach) to Wallingford Center on Halloween (Monday, October 31) from 4-7pm for some tricks and treats, Wally style. Before you head out, check the pantry to see if you've got any non-perishable food items to donate for the center's 5th Annual Fall Food Drive, which will benefit FamilyWorks. See ya there!

That's damn…

Movin’ and groovin’ for McDonald Elementary

This Friday (October 21), students at McDonald Elementary School will be walking laps around Wallingford Playfield to raise money for the school. The second annual Move-a-Thon is the school's major fall fundraiser, and they hope to raise $40,000 which will help cover the costs of enrichment programs not funded by the district. This year, the Mariner Moose will be on hand to cheer the little ones on as they make their way around the field. McDonald Elementary is a neighborhood school…

We heard there was a pretty good turnout for the Wallingford Neighborhood Greenway last week at Mosaic Coffeehouse. If you missed it and you still want to be involved in helping plan the greenway, not to worry--there's another one tomorrow night (Tuesday, October 18) from 6:30-8:30pm at Mosaic (4401 2nd Avenue NE). Tomorrow's meeting will mostly be a review of what was discussed last week, which we have a summary here for you to read. The group came up with a map…
