Seattle Mosaic Arts designs oven for Golden Beetle

When Maria Hines decided to open a new restaurant in Ballard, she asked her friend Claire Barnett, owner of Seattle Mosaic Arts here in Wallingford, to design, create, and install a mosaic on the kitchen's stainless steel oven. Wallingford to get a bike boulevard

Wallingford will soon get a bike boulevard, thanks to the efforts of Cathy Tuttle, founder of Spokespeople--an organization dedicated to safe bicycling in Seattle.   A bike boulevard is a designated street on which bicycles have priority over motor vehicles, and bikes are free to use the middle of the street while the use of installed "traffic calming" techniques (signage, traffic circles, stop signs at intersections) force drivers to slow down, and be aware of bicyclists.  Bike boulevards are the foundation…

Wallingford's only gay bar, Changes, is celebrating 22 years in Wallingford Friday. And Saturday.  And Sunday.  And MONDAY too! And we're all invited!
