Satay Sashays In

Malaysian street food restaurant, Satay (1711 N. 45th St.) opened for business today.  After a year and a half of planning, owners Patrick McCredie and Peter Ringold have transformed the former Avila space and are finally serving up satay for the neighborhood.  Co-owner Patrick McCredie told us, "We're open for business as of today and we're super excited to be a part of Wallingford." Free Accordion Music at The Gypsy Cafe

Meeting Rescheduled for Seattle Schools Transition Plan

Early last month we told you about a series of meetings that Seattle Public Schools scheduled to talk about the New Student Assignment Plan and what sorts of things will happen during the second "transition year".  One of those meetings, slated to discuss our cluster of schools, was to be held on November 22--the day the big snowstorm hit and closed down the city.
