New Irwin’s Underway

Construction is underway for a new Irwin's Neighborhood Bakery and Cafe at 301 NE 65th Street in Green Lake.  Irwin's is already home to two other locations: Wallingford (2123 N. 40th St.) and Eastlake (1201 B. Eastlake Ave. E.).  The new location will be on the corner of 65th and Latona, where PetDaddy was before someone crashed their truck into the store last year. In a post oddly titled "Shots fired, property damage in University District", the SPD Blotter reports gunfire near 40th NE and Latona last night: On February 17th, at approximately 1:30 AM, North Precinct officers responded to a call of numerous gunshots in the 200 Block of NE 40th Street.  Officers arrived and located six shell casings in the street.  During an area check, it appears that a car parked in a driveway of a house in that block had minor damage…
