What in the Wallingford

We did a little better at stumping you this past week than we did the week before. It took closer to six hours for Barb to correctly identify the mosaic crowning the bollard at 40th and 4th Ave NE, as opposed to the 6 minutes it took for Jared to identify the top of the Taco Time sign. Let's see how we do this week. As always, first one to leave a comment on this post identifying where and what is…

3/1 Deadline for Family 4th Fundraising

Last year, people all over the Pacific Northwest donated their time and money so Seattle could enjoy the Family 4th at Lake Union one last time.  But then, it doesn't have to be the last time.  One Reel is committed to making sure the event happens every year.  They just need our help to pull it off. But we haven't guaranteed this year's 2011 celebratiaganza.  Not yet.  Donations are still essential to making the 2011 Family 4th at Lake Union possible.…

Sustainable Wallingford – Climate Action Event

Sustainable Wallingford is holding a political letter writing party.  Which reminds me of the last time I went to a political letter writing party.  It was for Howard Dean, and I lived in South Carolina.  Yeah, there were like, 3 of us.  And my co-workers kept calling me a Communist. Anyway, if you enjoy the near-dead art of letter writing, or if you'd like to send a message to Olympia about the environment, you're in luck.  Sustainable Wallingford will be meeting…
